MolDiag-Paca Consortium: "A Pancreas Cancer Research Celebration" CNIO Madrid,
June 8th 2009, 16-19:30
We desperately need to make progress towards reducing pancreas cancer mortality. Recent advances in mouse models of the disease, the genetic factors involved in its development, and in the treatment of patients with respectable tumours are paving the way to making such progress
WORKSHOP: Epidemiology and its application to pancreatic cancer.
On Feb 5 a MolDiagPaca workshop on epidemiology and its application to pancreatic cancer will be held at CNIO in Madrid, Spain. Renowned speakers will present on basic principles of epidemiology, and give an overview of genetic epidemiology, environmental and genetic factors of pancreatic cancer, including possible susceptibility genes in sporadic disease vs. familial disease. The magnitude of the disease will be presented and etiological factors and somatic genetic alterations in pancreas cancer will be addressed.
